Ready to Serve Your Community?
BSRS has been volunteer-led since 1983. We're always looking for new members to help cover the calls we receive — in Baywood and the communities around it.
Who we need
Certified Providers Drivers Neighbors
We're always recruiting to keep our ALS ambulances staffed and ready around the clock. Whether you've been in EMS for years or you're just getting started with your certification, we have a place for you on the team.
If you're ready to serve your community, we would love to have you.
Apply now- Minimum age
- 18+
- You must be at least 18 years old to apply.
- Certification
- EVOC or EMT
- An EVOC or EMT certification is preferred but not required. We'll help you get there if you don't have one yet — and once you do, members keep their certifications current to stay on the squad.
- Auxiliary

- You don't need a certification to help. Auxiliary members support fundraising, events, station upkeep, and logistics — anyone with a desire to help their neighbors has a place here.
- Background
- State-run check
- We coordinate the state background check as part of your application.
